"Flying is the best thing for women."
So. Hmmm. Not sure that I agree w/ that statement. I'd say that the greatest thing would be autonomy: knowing that you could fly or do whatever else you wanted to.
But Mlle. de Laroche was absolutely, certainly entitled to her opinion, being the FIRST female to earn her pilot's license on this day in 1910. 102 years ago, a time of firsts, aviation-wise. Think of the courage & dash of those early aviators, regardless of gender. I mean, look at the motorized insects they were piloting!
